There was a Missionary Update!
4:00 PMohhhhh the woes of being a 20-year-old girl at BYU. all your Freshman friendboys are on missions. boo.
**and just as a disclaimer, I am not romantically interested in any of these boys. they're all just great friends, and fun elders to write.
so, in honor of them {ha, it sounds like they're dead. good thing they're not.}, I'm going to do a post about the boys I write regularly. :)
Dustin Kenyon

premish
Ward Temple Square trip. the bus ride home.

the Christmas card I got from Dustin & his comp
with an R2D2 mailbox & a member's photoshopping skills

baptism picture {psh. no I didn't steal this from Fakebook...}
ohhhhhhhhhh Dustin. I actually got to go to his farewell talk last summer because he lived not too far from my house.
my most favorite letter I've ever gotten from a missionary.
"Dear Haley.
I was flipping through the Ensign the other day and I saw this really attractive family on page 67. I think you might know them.
Love,
Elder Dustin Kenyon."
I think I laughed for days about that. he also had his companion write me a letter one month. that was pretty interesting too. I think he was secretly trying to set us up {which is, umm, hilarious because they're missionaries!}
I can hear his voice the most in his letters. his mannerisms just come out in writing, and it's the best. he'll be home next summer.
Chris Burns

premish
pre-Dancesport

also a picture I received in the mail from Chris on the mission

{also not stolen from Fakebook, I promse... sort of...}
he always has the best stories. I feel like every other letter from him is about some druggie or crazy person. the best story I got from him was about an investigator's wife who made him keep a jar of her husband's pee for who knows why. aweeeeeeeesome.
he also writes me about my future husband. a lot. we joke about "Brother Charming" almost every letter. one of these days I'm gonna send him a fake engagement announcement and then he'll be sorry. ha.
but we also have the best, serious conversations too. it's been awesome to see him grow, and I hope he knows how proud of him I am. he's just awesome. and he'll be back next summer also. the end.
Matthewbean

pre-mish.
that one time he dressed up as Shawn Johnson's boyfriend for Halloween.
bahahaha.
baptism!
{okay for reals, this one isn't even on Fakebook. look for yourself!
this was from an exclusive email I got. ha}
his name has always been one word in my mind. it's just one of those names you have to say the first and last parts.
Matthewbean was in the SuperDorm too. his love of Paramore & American Idol solidified our friendship. he's serving in Santiago, Chile. he gave me quite a scare when that earthquake hit, but luckily his parents sent out a mass email to everyone letting us know he was fine. they've had so many cool service opportunities post-earthquake, and I'm super grateful now he's had this experience.
he usually writes me funny things. we also try to communicate in Spanish sometimes, but I basically just fail everytime. he does really well though. he'll be back next summer too.

warrenzo & matthewbean. being nerds. literally. yuck.

that one time when we saran wrapped Dustin to a tree outside our hall.

before....

... after :)
matthewbean & chris found each other at the MTC!! best day ever.
needless to say, I miss these boys lots. and I'm very ready for them to come home. too bad I have another year. boo.
one down. one to go.
