so on Friday, I bought tickets for Coldplay's concert in San Jose.

... the show was Saturday.
but Dallin, Erin & I drove up with a lady from our ward who wanted to visit her sister there.
and despite a couple roadtrip hiccups (car overheating, waiting for on the side of the freeway for her sister to pick us up, driving back after the concert that night and getting home at 3am), it was an amazing experience.
if you ever have the chance to see them live, go!!
go go go go go!!
you will be so happy you did.

before the concert started
we were really excited!
okay, maybe some of us more than others. I was kinda freaking out.
my cute hipster-looking brother got a t-shirt
Erin got one, too. and I'm seriously jealous.
slash going to steal theirs when they're asleep.
before the show started, there were all these signs and the screens kept saying
"please put on your wristbands-
they're part of the show!"
so we did.
(you can see Dallin's yellow bracelet on the right in the picture above)
and when the band came out, all the wristbands started flashing in sync with the music.
it was awesome!
as you can see in the videos :)
they started off the show with Hurts like Heaven.
the set list included In My Place, Major Minus, Lovers
In Japan, The Scientist, Yellow, Violet Hill, God Put A Smile Upon Your Face, Princess
Of China, Up In Flames, Warning Sign, Don't Let It Break Your Heart, Viva La
Vida, Charlie Brown, Paradise, Us Against The World
they came out for an encore and played "Clocks," "Fix You," and "Every Teardrop is a Waterfall"
"Charlie Brown"
"Paradise"
by far the COOLEST part of the show.

the stage
as you can see,
